Blood tests (phlebotomy)

You can have your blood test taken at the practice. There are clinics every morning from 09:00 until 11.50. Appointments must be pre booked by contacting reception. This service is available to registered and non-registered patients. Please note: If the hospital has requested you to have a blood test please check with a receptionist first that the practice is able to provide the request.

Childhood immunisations

A full immunisation programme is offered here at the surgery including MMR (mumps, measles and rubella), pre-school vaccinations and boosters. Please ensure that your baby/child is booked for his/her vaccination according to the recommended schedule.

Travel immunisations

If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to make an appointment with the practice nurse at least 4 weeks before you travel. We are a registered Yellow Fever Centre. You can find out more information on our Travel Advice page

NHS health checks

Everyone is at risk of developing heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes and kidney disease. The good news is that these conditions can often be prevented. We now offer a free NHS health check to assess your risk and help you to take steps to maintain or improve your health. Everyone between the ages of 40 and 74 who has not been diagnosed with the conditions mentioned will be able to have a health check once every five years. For more information click here.

Influenza immunisations (flu jabs)

The surgery offers these to patients who are eligible under the NHS. Clinics are held during October and November each year. All eligible patients will be contacted with an appointment.
